About BCP

“Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.” – Mr. Rogers

Boise Cooperative Preschool (BCP) was established in 1973 and as a non-profit corporation run by parents. Their vision was to create a nurturing and affordable experience for the young learner. BCP offers a play-based classroom community of teachers and parents. Together they support the child’s explorations and discoveries. BCP provides a safe, stimulating, and fun environment for children to develop socially, emotionally, creatively, and physically. There is emphasis on the process of learning rather than a specific result. Every child and parent who belongs to the Boise Cooperative Preschool is valued and supported.

Boise Cooperative Preschool admits students of any race, religion, national or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, or scholarship and loan programs.
